Eddie is always trying to rise out of the comedian thing. I think that part of this was a career mistake in appearing in comedy movies, which oddly isn't his strength. His early drama acting did surprisingly well. His comedy instincts inform his timing in acting, which is a strength. He believes that he was bad at comedy, but became good through practice; I'm not sure if it will work for acting. Every comedian says that they had to pay their dues in the comedy club shows, but many comedians don't come out very well after the process, while Izzard became the greatest modern comedian. I'm glad he's on his Stripped tour. I'm sorry that The Riches wasn't critically acclaimed the way he wanted, but it did prove he was good at acting. I hope his acting career goes exactly as he hopes, but I hope it never subtracts from his comedy. That comedy brings joy to people in ways he probably has no idea about.

P.S. If Eddie is reading this, I've seen you in a mustache in Comic Relief. It's a bad look. Go with the stubble ;-)
