Operation Education - Spoilers
Written by: Dmitry Lipkin
Directed by: Peter O'Fallon & Brian Kirk
First aired on FX on March 26, 2007
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In this Episode, Wayne (Doug) is starting to lose his cool, Cael puts the family in danger, the kids are to be enrolled in school ....
Wayne enters his new job at Pantec (a real estate company). He is asked to give a speech about "The Doug Rich Way". He makes up a silly analogy using a stone that Dahlia put in his briefcase to make it appear heavy. Nevertheless, it works with the crowd and he is in.
One of his first responsibilities would be to fire his predecessor. Unfortunately, Wayne (Doug Rich) loses his cool, as the Liar (Pantec slang for Lawyer) makes up a heart breaking story about his 12 children. At this point I started to worry about Wayne. First the weak speech and now this? Is he becoming a buffer?
Wayne Malloy has the wonderful idea to send his children to school !??
After some consideration, Dahlia sets her mind on a private school and so the family sets off to visit the admissions lady (headmaster of admissions), an elderly uptight lady. She informs Wayne, Dahlia, Di Di and Cael that they are too late in the season to get admitted and that they are not as gifted as they claim to be.
This makes Dahlia mad and now she wants the kids in the school even more.
The family breaks into the house of the admissions lady and steals her parrot. They also go through her garbage and manage to turn off her cellphone with the personal data they found there (hey, who said TV Shows are not educational ).
Sam (unknown to the admissions lady) is put into her path with a flat tire on his bike. He cries and makes up a heartbreaking story, enchanting her with his French poetry and kindness. As she finds out the bird is missing, he convinces Dahlia (who arrived to "pick him up") with a very moving performance to help her find the bird.
Well, you guessed it, they find the bird and the admissions lady is all taken by the kindness of this family (yeah right).
In the meantime, Wayne managed to fire his predecessor and even enjoyed it enough, after finding out that the Liar (Lawyer) was doing just this, lying about his children. He even manages to shift his first case to his promising young paralegal and all seems fine (for now).
Dale (the new traveller boss) forces Tammy (Caels girlfriend) to lure Cael into a trap. She pretends to be pregnant from some Traveller yahoo and that she has to marry him. Cael promises to pick her up at a Diner. Naturally Dale is already waiting for him .......

I thought the plan Dahlia came up with to get the kids into school was fantastic. Sam did a great job. That was too funny.
Overall, I really liked this episode. I thought it was better than last week's and funnier.

I'm so mad though that I have to wait till next monday to see what happens at the diner though!
By the way, the company was Panco, not Pantec.

| Thanks Matty for the correction. Somehow I had Pantec stuck in my head (a company I once had business with myself).
