Been There, Done That - Spoilers
Written by: Nicole Yorkin
Directed by: Gwyneth Horder-Payton
First aired on FX on April 2, 2007
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Getting Rid of old Baggage and cleaning up the house. Thats what Episode 3 is all about.
Episode 3 starts where E2 left off, with Cael in the Diner meeting Tammy while Dale and his mother are waiting outside in the Truck, trying to bust the Malloys through Cael.
Fortunately Tammy is not very good at trying to set Cael up and gives them away by continuously peeking out the window. Through calling the police on them, Cael makes his escape while the police checks their identity.
Wayne gets some heat from his boss since Doug's ex wife has her attorney bloodhound on his heels. Dahlia panics, always remembering her time in prison due to the credit card scam that got her caught.
In an attempt to settle this with Doug's ex wife, the team (Dahlia and Wayne) pose as representatives of Doug Rich. Dahlia accidentally mentions "Royal Rhapsody", the name of a $600k breeding Alpaca.
They subsequently con him out of $100k for a son of this Alpaca (which they know shoots blanks).
Wayne uses the money to pay off Doug's ex-wife, together with a heart warming story of apology. During the act, Dahlia and Wayne get to say things over the phone they never could have said into each others faces and they get to apologize themselves for past mistakes.
Dahlia finally admits to Wayne that she has become addicted to Drugs in prison after she couldn't hide it anymore. Funny enough, she is smoking pot with the bored neighbors housewife, who walks around telling everyone that she is somewhat lonely (neglected by her hubby). She is escaping her boring life with the occasional joint and tablet "to get by". Meanwhile she gossips about the animal loving (in a very adult way) and other weird fantasies of the other neighbors (suburbia at its best).
A lot more happened in this episode:
Dahlia finds out that the Riches are jewish.
Cael breaks into the school together with two new friends, changing their grades.
Di Di has a new boyfriend and where the heck was Sam in this Episode?
Overall it was a very good Episode without too much excitement (compared to the normal hysterical Episodes).

I don't know, I just love this show. Better and better everytime. I watch Eddie's stand-up everytime it's on cable. That's why I started watching. I've been watching Minnie since her movie..Circle of Friends? The one with Chris O'Douch-Onally. Did I spell that right?..lol
Minnie's always superb. Did I mention gorgeous?
My point being that my wife and I really love this show. I DVR'd the first episode and got her hooked.
Now if I could only find that song from when she's on the couch.....

Yes she is, although she reminds me of the chipmunk cartoons (in frontal shots she looks like she is keeping a good days ration in her cheeks).
That doesn't mean I don't like her though.

Agreed!
I really liked this ep. I think I would rate it somewhere between ep 1 and ep 2/the pilot. There were some really great scenes in this one.
For example, I thought that the scene where Dahlia is over at neighbor Nina's house was well written and both performances were fantastic. I just love scenes between these two. They have great chemistry and their scenes are usually hilarious.
On the dramatic side, I liked the scene were Wayne visits Doug's ex's house and then talks to Dahlia on the phone pretending it to be Doug. That was pretty powerful stuff.
In general, I like that we are given more background info each episode. Slowly, the pieces are beginning to fit together.
Can't wait to see what will happen when Ginny(?) who followed Cael home, confronts them all next week.

I love Nina, she is frikken awesome. I nearly cried durring the phone scene. I wanted to sock Hugh in that scene towards the end (but then again I always want to sock Hugh) and grr I hate you cliffhanger with Ginny, they did the same thing with Dale last time.
Not an episode that had many funny scenes (I always bust a gut when Wayne has to bullshit his way through stuff) but a very good episode ^_^

Huh. I think he is one of the coolest dudes in the entire show. That scene in the previous episode, where he was shooting mindlessly at his neighbors pictures was simply hilarious.

Doesn't mean he isn't an a-hole.
