Might want to open that question up. She doesn't appear to be replying. That, and there were only about 7000 "Irish travelers" in the USA in 1996.
I think anyone who identifies with the travelers would object to the show portraying them as con artists. Likely Wayne's backstory would be offensive, as he was essentially "stolen by gypsies" (the travelers are not Roma, but the slang often doesn't distinguish), and ISTR he says both "adopted" as well as "kidnapped" (or some synonym). Basically, the whole drug-using con-artist blackmailing pack of violent inbred trailer-trash murderers image would probably be very offensive. In the UK they're recognized as an ethnic group, so that kind of portrayal could even be actionable (on slander or any hate-speech grounds. I don't know UK law).
On the other hand, The Riches does try to round out the characters more than the stereotypes. They don't want to be "trailer trash", they have a code of honour and family loyalty, Quinn and Wayne are both educated (as exceptions, through prison and adoption), and the Quinn/Dale murderers could be the exceptions too. As well, a few of the rich people are also portrayed negatively (Hartley, Hugh, Nana (drug abuse), some of the Rosemere school girls), yet that's an economic class, not an ethnic or cultural clan/identification.
The travelers in the clan gatherings are portrayed as friendly, good people, and even intelligent (eg. Earl Malloy), but to assume that, the travelers that have been introduced and developed as characters (Dale, Ginny and Ken Dannegan, Quinn, Linda & Mick O'Malley) would have to all be the exceptions.
