| Does anyone know where the gated community they film in is located? I know the show takes place in Louisiana, but do the film there?

Hi John,
imdb at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0496343 lists the following locations:
Marrero, Louisiana, USA
New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
Santa Clarita, California, USA
While the pilot did use some lush Louisiana exteriors (and we're bound to see more in the future, some repeat shots to save $$$), the majority of The Riches is being filmed in Santa Clarita, which is a suburb north of Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, and on a studio lot. I know that area fairly well, so I can say with near certainty that most of the exteriors of the gated community, which is supposed to be Baton Rouge, is Santa Clarita, while the interiors are likely lot shots.
Unless a TV show is so much of a runaway hit that they can boost ad sales, budget is always an overwhelming concern, so locations outside of "the zone" in Los Angeles are rarely used. Otherwise, they'd have to pay extra for everyone to travel, move and set up equipment, do overnights, etc.

| That's what I heard and read too. In addition, they use at least one "real" house for interior shots. You can read more here.
