"The Riches" expected to be renewed!!!

It is not official yet, but FX Networks' president and general manager John Landgraf apparently stated at the screening of another new FX show ("Damages") that “We’re really happy with the performance of Dirt and The Riches, and I expect them to return,”.

Like I said, nothing is official yet, but it is still reason to be hopeful.

You're right, it's just too early to tell. Anything can happen in the business, but a pickup for second season would be wonderful news!

A bit off-topic here, but related. My wife and I just got back from seeing the movie "The TV Set", which lampoons yet I think accurately shows how a series might evolve (or devolve, depending on your viewpoint) as it traverses from a germ of an idea, to a fledgling pilot, to network pickup. It's a really funny movie too, though the theater was so empty and the few other audience members didn't seem to be laughing like we did. Hmm, maybe that says more about us than them. Anyway, we loved it, and I think that some folks here might feel the same way. Catch it if you can!

According to Multichannel News, an official and final decision will be made by the end of May. FX is confident that the show will be back next season.

If it is any coincidence, I have never watched FX before this show came on. I hope they don't kick it, since it is one of the few shows that sticks out of the masses.
I have high hopes that the FX execs see the light and continue their best show.

I am addicted I find myself watching FX much more now that I am addicted to the show! I hope it goes on for a bit, I jsut can't imagine how they are gonna get out of this.

Oh please, let it be true. I so hope they renew the show. The only bad part is, that it will take a while until the new season will be on TV. But if I know that they are coming back for sure, I can wait.
