So, Nina impressed me tonight. Sure her life is all messed up right now, what with her husband and everything. But to actually up and leave like that with people you really don't know anything about (not even their real names), that does indeed take a lot of guts.
I don't think I could do it. I often feel like just running away but I would never do it. I'm too scaredy cat for that.
Oh and did you believe that Nina didn't bring money and/or her credit cards? Maybe she just didn't want to get involved that much just yet. I am not sure, but I got the feeling she didn't want to leave a trail by using her cards.

I don't know, I probably wouldnt, but, hell, look at Nina's life. Like she said, what does she have to lose.
Anyway, yeah, I think shee left all her money behind, think of it, she had this kind of romantic, and uh, what's the word? I don't know, y'know, like, made to seem better than it really is..anyway, that kind of interpretation and idea of the traveller lifestyle. I think she was genuine when saying she thought it would be more exciting. She obviously didnt think things through though. ie: "I COULD REALLY USE A SHOWER!"

Yeah, I agree with Matty. I think Nina does romanticize the traveller lifestyle quite a bit. I also agree that she didn't think things through and that it was more a 'spur of the moment' kind of decision and that she really didn't know what she was getting herself into.
The thing is we don't really know whether there is anything worth staying for for her. They've barely touched on Nina's backstory yet, other than that her husband has a live-in boyfriend and that Nina has her own pharmacy at home. Wasn't there talk about a son or daughter at some point, I am not sure? But it's pretty sad to think that there is nothing left in Nina's life other than to run away.
Maybe, for her it's more an adventure than anything else because her life has just become too boring for her. Plus, she can always go back and live her "normal" life again...
Would I do it? I don't think so. Start over again somewhere else, maybe. But running away like this, I don't think so.

You two make some good points, I hadn't even thought about it that way.
After last night's episode I agree, it was most of all an adventure for her. But she does seem to be interested even now that they are back. I mean, she was researching "irish travellers" on the web.
I also thought it was quite telling and actually pretty funny when she was talking to Dahlia and Dahlia told her everything was back to normal. "We are normal folk living a normal life" - or something similar. Obviously, Nina was disappointed and didn't want to be 'normal' again, LOL.
