The Traveler Clan

I recently started discussing The Riches with one of my friends and we both became confused when we started talking about the traveler clan. Throughout the show, Wayne has been referred to as a half-blood or a half-buffer. Obviously, this means that he is, in some way, partially disconnected from the rest of the travelers. I assume, since Dale is his cousin and Earl is his uncle, that one of his parents married outside of the clan, as is the only logical conclusion. I also assumed that this is why Wayne is treated as an outsider, however I still feel as though this aspect of the story is convoluted. With Eamon Quinn making his way back into the travelers clan, I think it may get a little more confusing.

I guess it would be helpful to have some sort of family tree or way of linking the clan members together so as not to confuse everything. I know that Dahlia has some sort of ‘royal’ lineage, as she is (or rather was) treated like royalty.

I believe Wayne's backstory was that he was either an orphan or given up for adoption, and raised in a jesuit academy. I'd assume he was either adopted by the travelers, or "stolen by gypsies and thieves" depending on his mood when describing them. The understanding I got was that he was brought into the clan, was married into the main family (to the "princess") in order to lead the clan eventually, but instead left on his own adventures while the "king" still lived.

Direct quotes can be complicated by the fact that they're all "family". So, while Wayne may have been adopted by the family in charge and groomed to be the next in line, that may not mean he was raised from that point by the main family.
