Hi "livingthedream2" and "susan"
welcome ! I am praying for a season 3.I think this show could be another "Sopranos"!! This is one of the biggest things in t.v.(my opinion, of course) will t.v. guide be anouncing info soon? I just waited and waited for FX to anounce and almost went nuts this past season before finding out of season 2 I wish we could some how generate new fans...
If anyone has followed series like we have he/she would have to be HOOKED!!

Hi Dian:
Love love this show. Wouldn't it be great if it had a run like the Sopranos? It's so original and unique. Nothing like it on TV. And I love Eddie. I'm so sick of all the cookie cutter everything the same shows out there. I don't even watch the networks anymore. And don't get me started on the reality shows! I'm not a mainstream kind of gal with TV and movies.
Last season we found out there would be a Season 2 by now. I'm worried.
Here's hoping for a Season 3 and 4 and 5...... etc....

I don't watch mainstream tv either. In fact this is the only show I've been hooked on for many many years.
I'm scared that we haven't heard anything yet either. However, I was pleased to see that they were pushing the show pretty hard during the season with appearances by the stars on late night talk shows and itunes featured it prominently during April. I'm hoping this means that the suits haven't given up on it.

Hi Susan:
I hope the suits haven't given up on it too. It takes a lot for me to really love a TV show. The last one I was really into was Sex and the City. And that went off the air awhile ago. I thought the ratings were really good? Have you heard about the ratings? Oh well. There's always Netflix. Hopefully, we'll be hearing soon.

Yeah, I feel the same way about those reality shows.I am from the south and the way Minnie gets the accent just right is sooo amazing to me! And I agree there's nothing like it on. That is what makes it so fantastic. But I am concerned too about next season and those to follow. Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed. | livingthedream2 wrote: | Hi Dian:

I'm from the South too and you are right. Minnie's accent is spot on. If I didn't know who she was, I wouldn't be able to tell she wasn't a native.
As for the ratings, I understand that they were not the best - certainly nowhere near last year's. Of course, nobody's ratings were good this year.
I actually wrote as well as e-mailed FX to urge them to keep The Riches on the air. This is something I have never even considered doing before. If it gets cancelled it wasn't because they didn't hear from me.

| What e-mail did you send your letter to Fox to? I would send one too.

I e-mailed through the contact us link at the fx website. Who knows if anyone saw it or not. The letter I wrote came back from FX unopened.
I saw Eddie's "Stripped" show last night in Memphis and he had a Q&A session with about 30 people afterward in the parking lot behind the theatre. He said he was hopeful of renewal but still has not heard. He said he hopes an announcement would be made very soon. Great to see him in person by the way. Way cool.

| It's cool that you got to see Eddie. I have seen his act on TV, but it is so different from his role as Wayne Mallory on The Riches, I didn't really like it. It would sure be fun to talk to him. I hope hope hope they renew the series, I am seriously hooked on it now.

| It was good to ask him questions. I've only seen one standup thing of his on TV but being a fan of The Riches I wanted to go see him in person. I will say I was not the only Riches fan in the crowd. He snuck in a plug for The Riches during his routine and the response was tremendous - possibly matched only by the response he got when he opened his set and when he closed it. There are more than just a few people who like this show. Lets hope FX figures this out.
