Time to lay down some rules:
You do not post email addresses of people directly on this forum. Although we are hoping for a favorable decision to renew the program, we do not believe that spamming fx executives with requests will lead to the desired results.
Using large fonts does not automatically make your opinion more valid or serve any purpose than to uglify the forum.
I removed the email addresses from this thread !
Just as you all, we are hoping that the executives at FX will see the benefit of a show that is unique, funny and entertaining.

SORRY SORRY SORRY
I was only trying to help, didn't think it was spamming as I sent a very personal email to FX Execs (not knowing if any of them individually have "power" over the decision to go with a new season)
The font size actually is a problem onthis site for me, my eyesight really isn't that good and I can't actually READ the posts unless I paste them into a word document & make them bigger, they seem VERY tiny if you don't adjust the font in the message section. (does anyone else have the same trouble?)
I don't think I "uglified" the posts, just added a bit of variety.
My intentions were honorable honest guv. And I now understand the email posting was not really a good thing to do.
But my first indiscretion I hope you'll forgive me....

| I like the ode to the riches chubbx. I hope and pray there will be another season. This is the greatest show out there today. I just love minnie and Eddie. That is why I started watching the show and then I was hooked.

Love this show so much - it is so RICH. I mean, the story is so interesting and the dichotomies blow my mind - how a family of thieves struggle with losing their souls by living the "american dream." OMG!!! This is so smart. Then we are always dealing with a double reality at all times - but with very real, touching moments. Then I also love how Izzard and Driver are pulling off the accents. So cute. What is crazy is how their son Sam (Aiden) has almost an irish accent when he speaks, which is kind of unusual - he's from Boston but I don't think he's truly from Ireland? But he could have fooled me...
Also I love the tip to Izzard with the bees in the opening sequence and that his son is a cross dresser. This made me happy to see some of his personal touches in there. Love Izzard!!!!!!!!!!
This show must continue for a few more seasons, I'm completely captivated... I must know what happens next!
Let me know if there is a petition, or make my voice heard in requesting a renewed season of the show... I would love to sign it!

| Hey Everyone!! I love The Riches too! It is such a great show, its a shame that it ended so abruptly without getting a fair chance to really be big!

I AGREE...VERY BAD DECISION. I've been on every website I could find to see if Eddie has said anything publicly yet, and I can't find a thing. Hope FX can afford to lose all of the loyal viewers to The Riches AND Dirt. I have just removed them from my favorites list on my Cable Remote. I'm done with them. I'm going to watch Season 2 on my computer now, so I can get my fix, and besides, I've already worn out my DVD's of the first season. Here's to 20 GREAT EPISODES!

| I didn't like the last season. -- much. I watched it because I wanted to know what happened to the characters. The first season was art. I'm disappointed that I won't know what happens to the characters, but I'm glad that the show ends relatively well and the actors will go on to new projects. Had the last season been planned better and been appreciated by the network, we might have had at least a proper ending. If any work on scripts has been done, I hope they'll release those (as if that would happen).

| How can they just end the series like that? I cannot believe that FX can cancel one of their more popular shows. This just confirms my belief that television is dumbed down to 7th grade level to appease the masses and that intelligent television is not meant for the American Public. Every time there is a show with a writing level that is remotely above a 7th grade intelligence level it last for about a season and a half and gets canceled. The writers strike didn't help this show at all either. Sorry to see another great show go down in flames.

Los Angeles (E! Online) - At least Minnie Driver will have more time to spend with her baby boy.
A rep for FX confirmed to E! News Tuesday that the network has pulled the plug on The Riches, the critically lauded yet extremely niche dark comedy that starred Driver and Eddie Izzard as grifters who assume the identity of a dead rich couple and along with their kids move right into the deceased's posh neighborhood.
The Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated series premiered in March 2007 and lasted for 20 episodes over the course of two seasons, the second having only seven installments thanks to the writers' strike.
FX's move doesn't exactly come as a surprise: A source told E! News yesterday that the cancellation was coming, and Todd Stashwick, who plays Dale, murderous nutball cousin to Driver's Dahlia Malloy, blogged last week about the show's impending demise.
"Word came down. That word is canceled," the actor wrote. "Thank you everyone, all the passionate folks who were rooting for our return. Alas it will not be."
