I am not laughing. Driving around in my convertible with a T-Shirt on makes me look exactly like Hank Hill when I take it off (white body and sunburned arms and neck - I do have a nicer butt though). Laughing Laughing

I don't really like Sex and the City (I think its more of a womens show).

Hi Thor- what do you mean "pay" - why would you have to pay for those shows? Curious? Lost/hmm

If I listed all the tv shows I watch - IT would be pitiful! Shocked

Hi Charlene. By "pay" I mean cable or satellite delivery; we have to pay somebody for the privilege of being able to tune to the channels needed to see these shows. "Broadcast" comes over the airwaves and is still free, at least for for now, as long as you have some rabbit ears (a set-top antenna) and are close enough to the broadcast tower.

I know what you mean. I also pay a pretty steep fee to the satellite company so I can watch their ads and make them some money. Cool

Thanks for the info - Rabbit Ears- LOL Laughing I have not thought about that gadget in years! Geesh- between me asking about GMT- and this- it is amazing I graduated from college! Seriously- I do know what Greenwich Mean Time is- I thought they were referring to General Mountain time or some such thing.

And Thor please tell me about this show Lost? Is it really good? I am very interested to know as I thought it was about a thing that looks like black smoke and people running through a jungle

thanks for the chuckle Laughing

Well, Charlene, my wife and I think so. We've been hooked since the pilot and have never missed one episode since. This third season is a bit weaker than the first two, but lately the writers have been ramping it up and it's getting very good once again. The cliffhanger at the end of this season looks like it's going to be excellent.

The premise of the show is that a passenger jet flying from Australia to Los Angeles mysteriously breaks apart while passing over an island with special characteristics. The crash may have been planned. The survivors have to learn to live together until they're rescued (if they ever are), but also to deal with the island's elements (natural and unnatural). Lots of strong characters, flashbacks, mysteries to unravel, easter eggs to find, things to debate.

Critics of the show say that the writers are not giving out answers fast enough, that they are stretching it out too far and too long, but my wife and I don't mind a long-term commitment. It's like reading a Steven King novel, in a way. You may wade through hundreds of pages, but the payoff is wonderful and the trip there is just as good.

If you want to give it a try, rent season one and play it from the start. If you try to jump in mid-season, this late in the game, you won't fully understand a lot of what's going on.

I frequent a number of Lost forums and sites, but my faves are:

The Fuselage: http://www.thefuselage.com/Threaded/
Lost-Forum: http://lost-forum.com/

and you can get a good roundup of what the show is about (with spoilers, so beware) on a wiki at:
