Hehe, very true, but it works much better with the Character so thats a given to me.
On the other hand, I think it goes very well with a con artist. The southern accent sounds, well lets just say not too smart. Thats the perfect cover if you try to trick someone, since they won't suspect you until its too late.

I actually love the acting of Eddie. There is something about how he talks with his accent (which very slightly shows in the show). and yes, I agree he is very handsome, in his odd way

I think Eddie's standup has helped him carry off his role on this show. His delivery of his lines is just so, well, Eddie!
For those who've never seen him do his standup either live or on DVD, go find and rent any of his titles, though I especially like the routines in "Dress to Kill". He's just so articulate and spot on that you'll be simply amazed.

| I just watched the movie remake of The Avengers with Ralph Fiennes and Sean Connery again and realize that Eddie played one of Connery's henchmen. The Character's name was Baily. He looked so different from Wayne that it didn't register at first.

I just found out that Eddie Izzard will be one of the headliners at this year's "Just for Laughs" Festival in Montreal.
If you are in the area in July (July 8-29), you should definitely check it out.

Eddie Izzard will appear on "The Hour", a current affairs show on Canada's CBC. The interview was taped last Friday and is set to air tomorrow night (may 9th) at 11:00 p.m. However, some TV guides show it as airing on May 10th. So, you may want to check your local TV listings.
For all those not in Canada, you can watch Eddie's part here as soon as they put it online.

Eddie will be on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on May 25th, 12:35am on CBS.
The show will be taped on May 23rd in the afternoon and you can still get tickets if you want to go.

Thanks to info you posted, Dahling, my wife and I actually got tickets to see Eddie on Craig Ferguson next week, but something else came up on that day (taping the 23rd, it airs the 25th I think) for us and now we can't make the taping. I'd pass on the tickets but they require a drivers license to match the ticket name, so sorry. Anyway, maybe next time. Thanks for posting these tips for everyone!

Yeah, I'll try to stay up and watch it, it's Friday night so I might be able to. Otherwise, I'll just record it. I watched the interview with Eddie on "The Hour" and found it quite entertaining. It's fun to listen to Eddie and see him all excited about something.
