This episode was the worst episode so far.

Why would they waste five minutes with this 17 year old boy coming into Dahlia's room? Why? Totally angered me. I knew they were never going to have sex.

Then this pathetic 20 minutes where a gun is pointed at a character in two scenes, the foolish way the threat from Mick and his wife is done away with, by him accidentally shooting his wife in the shoulder/heart maybe. Just totally foolish.

I was getting my hopes up that the whole traveller camp element of threat was going to go away, half a season and we are still where we were at the start when Izzard is at the gas station.

I would be much happier to watch seasons and seasons of the trials and tribulations of life in eden falls, I don't care about the threat from the scumbags, Izzard should just murder Dale or something and the woman who has been to eden falls.

And by the way, a girl that hot doesn't live in a trailer, shed find a man to hook her wagon to any day. She looks like the trailer trash woman from my name is earl, but i think its a different blonde.


As I say very disappointed not to see Doug's boss all episode, that is the best part of the show. I am totally getting fed up with this layer of the story from the camp, it goes nowhere.

What is this episode supposed to tell us, this week Dale's a weak pansy who cries and doesn't even fight minnie driver for the gun? Whereas last week he is a cold blooded murderer of his father? Are they trying to tell us the threat is elevated from Dale? So how are we supposed to enjoy the scenes in eden falls with this ominous suspense hanging over it? Dramedy? or thriller? This show does not know what it wants to be?

If Dougs boss doesn't have a sizable scene in every coming episode I am going to shoot someone in the face.

I cannot understand, I wait so long for each episode, and they WASTE time with some 17 year old coming in and sitting on the bed?

Foolish, those who say this was the best episode dont know what they are talking about.

So what happened with other 20 grand? Why didnt Doug chuck in another 10 grand to compensate for stealing it? Or some kind of bonus?

Did mick's wife get shot in the heart or shoulder? It makes a difference?

If traveller's live "off grid" then how did they get life insurance for the dead father?

Who they hell thinks the wedding scene was even believable? The priest's comment? How pathetic this is a badly written episode indeed.

Minnie Driver's character sometimes wants to be smart, but is very played very dumb indeed, the childish whining and sulking about getting the family to go to the funeral was crappy. And just frustrating.

The digging in the middle of the night for the money? Hasnt that already been done? And did it make you think the neighbor with one arms was gonna sneak out of the bushes and see them being called by their real names?

There is too much tension and not enough time given to explanation in this series. I find that if you are going to have a story this layered.... with so many elements, where the whole new life could be tripped up like a trip wire at any moment by....

A relative of the riches calling, the cops, the kids doing something at school wrong, the paralegal black chick finding something out, dale, mick and wife, or the blonde chick coming to eden falls, the mural the little boy did on the wall being seen by the wrong person, and that is just soooo unbelievable that doug would not cover his bases and wipe that sh** off the wall by the way, i mean i feared the 17 yr old son's friend was going to see the mural when he was creeping around the house? long story short, in a tiny 45 minute episode with so much layering in the story arc, HOW CAN YOU AFFORD TO WASTE five minutes with some silly sexual tension between the 17 yr old kid and the mother? Its just poor......

actually the episodes only go for 40 mins when you take out the recap at the beginning and other non content things...

So six measly episodes remain for the year, and that adds up to only 4 straight hours of the riches. 4.66 hours have already aired so we are well past the halfway mark of the season and we are wasting time treading water with this same stale suspense from the traveller camp? Is the gonna go on through 2008 as well? Dale comes to eden falls after salivating and sharpening his stick for a year or so? I think it is crap.

Four measly hours of content and likely no new season until next year, and five minutes is wasted with this crap with the 17 year old, and the pathetic singing songs parts, shes a good singer yeah but im not watching this show for the singing, ill go listen to her album if i wanted that.


Grrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh four hours left! five hours of the sopranos left? It just sucks.

Someone give them a billion dollars and make a six week 24 hour 7 marathon of original never before seen tv that i love so i can not be so dreading when the hours run out.

You posted some good questions. Just one point, I have had friends from all types of places and there are pretty, hot, however you want to phrase it,girls/women that Live in trailer parks.

Interesting points although I feel you are a little too emotional about this
I really liked the episode and I really liked how things played out.
However, the next Episode is going to be exactly what you are looking for (at least thats what I take from the previews).
There is going to be lots of Hugh and dealing with the missing money.
I guess you won't have to shoot people in the face after all.
