Being the oldest of the Malloy children, Cael learned to take care of his family while his mother was in prison. He appears to be more protective and supportive of his mother. Cael also is the one struggling the most with giving up their traveler lifestyle, feeling out of place when the family moves into the Riches’ house.

i would say that he is most definitely my favorite character in the show...i hope nothing bad happens to him...

| He is kind of a jerk, but well meaning I think. I feel so bad for him when Dahlia wishes she "hadn't raised such a stupid son".

Children do stupid things and he thought he was in love with Tammy, so you can't really blame him.
I think what Dahlia and Wayne did in Episode 4 was way worse.
Cael clearly feels uncomfortable with his buffer life that he was forced into after growing up being a traveller.
Its all he knew and it was so much easier to him.

| yes that is a good point... i really think that his character seems the most believable, though Dahlia and Waynes are good too...

I agree, it certainly appears that way, at least for the moment. Since this unfortunate deal that Wayne and Dahlia made with Ginny involves Di Di, we will probably see more of her right now.
Although, I'd like to see Cael deal with the situation and/or try to help his sister. I am not saying that it is completely his fault that they have to deal with Ken and Ginny right now, but he certainly partly caused the problem, even though it is understandable that he wanted to help his girlfriend.
Maybe tonight, in 'Virgin Territory', he'll get a chance to shine and find a way out of it for all of them.

I know, too bad, really. But it looks like he'll have something to do next week, seeing as he'll be an "investor" to help out with Wayne's newest idea. Did you see the wig and mustache? That's bound to be funny!!

Yeah, that's the common complaint about a show with so many integral characters. Lost suffers from this too. I guess directors have to choose how to handle situations like this, either devote a whole episode to a few select characters and separate storylines, or give them all a small slice of the same hour-long pie.
I definitely think we're in for more Cael in the future, and not just in next week's mini-con, as Dahling pointed out. There's still the unresolved issue of his girl back at camp to deal with.
So you'll get your wish, Disappearing Girl, I'm sure!

Well, other shows handle this quite well. You can always have some episodes that center more around one person and then have another episode that centers around another person or the whole bunch.
It doesn't necessarily have to be mutually exclusive.

I dont hate her, I mean, she really had no choice. But they havn't seemed to have anything nice about her yet.

| Cael is definately my favorite character. I love him and Tammy together. What happened at the diner and such is not her fault, she was forced into that. I feel so bad for her. Even though we barely got into their relationship, what I did see, I loved and fell for. I hope that they re-include her in season 2 and atempt a reconciliation.Let her get her side out there. Cause they are beautiful together and it makes for an awesome/more interesting storyline.
