"Doug Go" or "To Go" whatever meaning you choose,
this is the first time all season that Wayne has no spontaneous plan!
Conspicous in it's absense. |
Interesting thought.
One could spin that a bit further and come up with:
"Doug got it", as in he finally gets it that they have to leave after clinching on to his buffer life for so long, but I am not sure if that isn't a bit far fetched !?

Maybe Wayne 'gets it' and discovers he can't leave Doug?
His love of 'the con' is too strong. He wears it so well. Even to the pain of his wife.
I think the family has no where to go. No exit. No frontier, "we have got to make it here."
Next season will be great for drop-in drop-out characters.
One by one they will find out where they need to 'go to'. Or else they might get killed by psycho-Dale.
Kinda like, if you don't believe in Tinker Bell [my current line of B.S.] I'd like you to meet Dale. He's a real person too.
Maybe Nina will get educated in Traveller ways? Find a better man? Learn to make clay ashtrays?
I can't wait.

Interesting thought, but I don't think this would ever happen.

| I honestly don't see how the show can keep going, at least with the same theme and feel and everything. It just wouldn't be the same if they went back to travelling, the show would take on a completely new tone. Plus it would take away from the entire point of the show. If Dale kills Pete, well, that would be bad, but it's the only way to stop him from threatening their lives as the Rich's, and I don't see how they can keep on living there with Dale out there. Can't wait to see how things work out.^_^

| Waiting for dogot???? to go? Got to go???? what the hell are you people smoking? It's a play on words... haven't you read or seen the great play, Waiting for Godot? Existentialism at its best! The entire premise is two guys waiting for this guy Godot to show up, then their lives can get underway... only problem is, the guy never shows... and their waiting game is this enormous act of futility... hence, Waiting for Dogot... Doug, the real Doug is dead... waiting for him to come is an enormous act of futility... come on, people! Wake up and get literate.

| One of the actors in the show was in Waiting for Godot. I forget, probably Jim from next door. It's in the main site biographies.
