2007 has been a successful year for Minnie Driver. Since the start of her new show "The Riches" on FX, she has been nominated for an Emmy Award and, earlier this month, for a Satellite Award for her role as Dahlia Malloy.

And it keeps getting better. Yesterday, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced the nominees for the 2008 Golden Globes and Minnie Driver received a well-earned nod for her work on "The Riches" in the category "Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama". This puts her in one of the strongest fields ever, as she will be competing against former Oscar and Golden Globe winners. The category has even been expanded to seven contenders as opposed to the usual five to accommodate all the talent.

The Golden Globe winners will be announced on January 13, 2008 during the ceremony held in Beverly Hills, California.
